Profile

Toibudeen Oduniyi is a highly accomplished professional with extensive expertise in business information systems and digital transformation. He holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Lagos, a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Investment from South Bank University, and an M.Sc. in Business Information Systems from the University of East London.

Toibudeen’s distinguished career spans multiple industries and continents. He has held senior positions in leading global organisations across Europe, including BP Oil UK, Merrill Lynch Europe, Coutts Bank, TIBCO Software, and Marks & Spencer Plc. His core competencies include Infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture, Digital Transformation, Information Risk Management, and Security Assurance.

He has served as the Design Authority and Technical Lead on numerous large-scale IT and business transformation initiatives. As a seasoned strategic consultant, he previously led a consulting and technology firm that provided enterprise solutions to clients across Nigeria. His deep understanding of economic and business ecosystems establishes him as a trusted voice in strategic planning and policy advisory sessions.

Toibudeen has served on the Boards of the Ikeja, Kaduna, and Electricity Distribution Companies; the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC); Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited; and Anambra Motor Manufacturing Company (ANAMMCO). He is also affiliated with the Nigeria-Canada Investment Forum GTE. Mr. Oduniyi is a Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS) and a Chartered IT Professional (CITP), underscoring his dedication to best practices in IT governance, cybersecurity, and digital innovation.

He has also completed executive education programs at: MIT Sloan School of Management, Harvard Business School, London Business School, Lagos Business School, etc. Toibudeen’s outstanding contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including: Nigeria Centenary Award, UK (2014), International Recognition Award – Business Technologist of the Year (2014), JOGSOBA Merit Award – Ijebu-Ode Grammar School Old Boys Association (2013) and Mentee of the Year – University of East London (1995).

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Oduniyi is deeply passionate about the arts, music, and travel. He is also an active commentator, writer, and speaker on contemporary social and economic issues in Nigeria.
