It defines objectives, functions and powers of the Board and also defines various offences relating to water under the control of the Board. It defines the objectives, functions and powers of the board and also defines various offences relating to water under the control of the Board.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Board shall be a corporate body and shall collaborate with the other authorities responsible for water resources management to secure efficient use of water resources for the conservation and protection of the water resources of the Territory and the nation.<\/li>\n<li>The Board shall principally provide an adequate supply of water for domestic and industrial purposes and develop, maintain, and protect waterworks for this purpose.<\/li>\n<li>It shall also, among other things, verify and monitor PPP Agreements compliance by the private participants and promote the rational use of water resources and potable water supplied by the Board and develop regulations to prevent wastage.
