{"id":3281,"date":"2022-01-17T13:23:29","date_gmt":"2022-01-17T13:23:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bpe.gov.ng\/?p=3281"},"modified":"2025-09-04T15:00:55","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T15:00:55","slug":"industries-and-services-department","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bpe.gov.ng\/staging\/industries-and-services-department\/","title":{"rendered":"INDUSTRIES AND SERVICES  DEPARTMENT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Units<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Financial, Development Institutions and Capital Market<\/li>\n<li>Media and Communications<\/li>\n<li>Information Technology<\/li>\n<li>Industries and Commerce<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>CORE DUTIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Industries &amp; Services Department is entrusted with the responsibility of reforming non-performing Public Enterprises (PEs) for optimal performance, which includes:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Reforming, Restructuring, deregulation, and Privatisation Programme in the Communications Sector in Nigeria.<\/li>\n<li>Divestment and Privatization of Federal Government Public Enterprises in the industries sector.<\/li>\n<li>In line with the Bureau\u2019s reform initiative for the Media Sector, the Department has the mandate to partially commercialise government-owned Media enterprises.<\/li>\n<li>Implementing the Federal Government\u2019s reform, restructuring and modernisation of the postal sector in Nigeria, specifically the modernisation &amp; restructuring of the nation\u2019s Postal Sector \u2013 the Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST).
